The former Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea boss revealed, during a visit to a supporters club in Munich, that he would welcome the opportunity to coach in La Liga at some stage. Those words were considered by some to be a nod towards an imminent move being made.

Xavi has announced that he will be leaving Barcelona at the end of the season, meaning that a prominent position will open up at Camp Nou. Tuchel has already been linked with filling that void, but he is under contract at the Allianz Arena through to 2025.
WHAT BAYERN SAID
Bayern maintain that their boss is committed to his current role, saying in a joint-statement from CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and sporting director Christoph Freund on the club’s : “Our head coach Thomas Tuchel was asked by supporters on Sunday as part of a fan club visit about his coaching career and his previous experiences abroad at Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, and naturally provided information about this during the discussion. He also answered general questions from fans about Spain as a footballing country. He never spoke about Xavi Hernandez and his successor, as was falsely claimed afterwards. We will no longer accept such non-factual statements directed against our coach, which always come from the same source.”
